Thank you to Song Per Day reader, Frank, for recommending this classic Jazz song. This song was inducted into the Library of Congress National Recording Registry in 2004. Fun fact: Glenn Miller volunteered to join the U.S. military in 1942 to entertain troops during World War II. He ended up with the Air Force and in 1944 his aircraft disappeared in bad weather over the English Channel while flying to Paris.
