Believe it or not, I haven’t posted a Radiohead song yet! Lucky for us, my friend Itay picked this song and wrote some nice words for this guest post:
“By the time this song was recorded, the early promise of Radiohead becoming a guitar-rock icon was long broken. Even though, in my opinion, their more experimental materials are simply great, this song is rock’n’roll at it’s best. Jonny Greenwood demonstrates here that his riffs, harmonies, and strumming are like no other, and alongside Thom Yorke’s falsetto vocals and dark, Orwell-inspired lyrics, we get a great track which makes up for one of my favorite album openers.”
