Billy Strings – Taking Water

I’ve been addicted to Billy Strings ever since my friend Mark introduced me to him a few weeks ago. As I describe in our latest podcast episode, Billy Strings has really changed the game of Bluegrass.

He learned to play Bluegrass music from his father, Terry, but as a teenager branched out more into the world of rock and metal. His diverse background makes for awesome performances, where he combines traditional Bluegrass with elements of rock, folk, and even a psychedelic vibe.

Here’s a clip of Billy playing with his band at the Grammy’s last year (link here). Nothing better than watching them jam with their guitar, banjo, and mandolin – and sometimes fiddle.
