Carole King – You’ve Got a Friend

Here’s a great one from Carole King. She wrote this song during recording sessions with James Taylor. She and James Taylor both included the song on their respective albums they were recording. Carole King, who actually wrote the song, said “the song was as close to pure inspiration as I’ve ever experienced. The song wrote itself. It was written by something outside myself, through me.”
