Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros is an American folk rock group from Los Angeles, formed in 2007. The band’s name is based on a story the lead singer (Alex Ebert) wrote when he was a kid that was about a messianic figure named Edward Sharpe. Their music is quite unique and I’ve loved this song for a long time. Here’s a Tiny Desk performance they did back in 2009, the same year this album came out.
