On my scooter ride to work today, Gavin DeGraw’s song “I Don’t Want to Be” randomly popped into my head. I pulled over to put the song on my phone and I proceeded to have a glorious rest of the ride (and day) listening to Gavin. Fun fact: in the song “I Don’t Want to Be” — Gavin is referring to his parents when he says he doesn’t need to be anything other than “a prison guard’s son” and “a specialist’s son.” (His dad was a prison guard and his mom was a botox specialist).
