In case you missed last night’s Superbowl MVP, we thought we would bring you a song today by kickass Barbadian singer, Robyn Rihanna Fenty.
Born in Saint Michael and raised in Barbados, Rihanna auditioned for American record producer Evan Rogers who invited her to the United States to record demo tapes. After signing with Def Jam in 2005, she soon gained worldwide recognition. With sales of over 250 million records worldwide, Rihanna is the second-best-selling female music artist of all time.
What’s My Name is a popular single/collab with Drake off Rihanna’s fifth studio album Loud. It’s a dreamy song that Rihanna called “young and playful”. While it wasn’t performed at last night’s halftime show, it’s still one of Julia’s favorites.
