Sugar Ray is an American rock band that was formed in Newport beach in 1986. The band achieved popularity in 1997 with this song. They then shifted to make some more radio-friendly pop sounding music. This song has a bouncy beat yet its about death, says lead singer Mark McGrath. He was also the host of the show “Don’t forget the lyrics.” In 2008, he was casted on the American version of Big Brother and made it to the finale, but then was eliminated. Fun fact: I (Jess) saw them at Alive at 5 in Stamford CT.
