Fun fact: The Weeknd’s real name is Abel Tesfaye, but he didn’t like that name so went with The Weekend. However, he ran into copyright issues with another band called The Weekend, so he got rid of the “E.” He grew up in Toronto, Canada in a household with a single mother. At 17, he dropped out of High School and moved out with a friend. They eventually were evicted and he lived by “bed-hopping” between 3 women, all of whom apparently were under the impression he was their boyfriend. Read 30 fun facts about The Weeknd here. This song peaked at #1 in 32 countries and references the on-and-off relationship he has with model Bella Hadid. For the music video, click here.
