Durand Jones & The Indications is an American contemporary R&B and soul group founded by the core songwriting trio of singer Durand Jones, singer/drummer Aaron Frazer, and guitarist Blake Rhein. Formed in 2012, the band came to prominence as part of the soul revivalist movement around the time of the reissue of their debut album in 2018.
Sea Gets Hotter is from their second studio album, American Love Call. Durand Jones said that Sea Gets Hotter is a love song for the person you wanna be with when it feels like the world around you is falling apart. “We almost didn’t put this one on the record, so it’s extra cool when we hear from people that it’s one of their favorites!”
