Over the weekend we recorded the Song Per Day podcast outside in a park to get some song recommendations from strangers! A nice man on a walk through the park recommended this wonderful song to us.
Pieces of a Man is the debut studio album by American jazz singer, poet, musician, and author Gil Scott-Heron. The album followed Scott-Heron’s debut live album Small Talk at 125th and Lenox (1970) and departed from that album’s spoken word performance, instead featuring compositions in a more conventional popular song structure. It is one of Scott-Heron’s most critically acclaimed albums.
Tune in to next week’s podcast episode for more fun song recommendations from strangers we met outside!
