Sum 41 is back baby! Their new single Landmines harks back to the early days of the Canadian band’s career, complete with anthemic chants, chugging electric guitars, and lyrics about “hanging on” through the struggles of life.

Writing on social media, Sum 41 confirmed that their new offering is the first single from their forthcoming double album “Heaven :x: Hell”, which will be released before they break up.

Sum 41 is a Canadian rock band formed in 1996 in Ajax, Ontario. The band gained widespread recognition in the early 2000s with their energetic blend of punk rock and alternative music. Comprising lead vocalist and guitarist Deryck Whibley, lead guitarist Dave Baksh, bassist Jason “Cone” McCaslin, and drummer Frank Zummo, Sum 41 became known for their catchy anthems and rebellious spirit.

Their breakthrough album, “All Killer No Filler” in 2001, featured hit singles like “Fat Lip” and “In Too Deep,” cementing their place in the pop-punk scene. Over the years, Sum 41 continued to evolve their sound, exploring more mature themes and musical styles while maintaining their devoted fan base.
