Glass Animals is a British indie rock band that emerged from Oxford in 2010. The group, comprised of members Dave Bayley, Drew MacFarlane, Joe Seaward, and Edmund Irwin-Singer, swiftly gained recognition for their unique blend of psychedelic pop and electronic elements.

Their debut album, “ZABA,” released in 2014, marked a breakthrough with its mesmerizing soundscapes and hits like “Gooey” and “Black Mambo.” Known for their distinctive sound characterized by dreamy melodies and Bayley’s captivating falsetto, Glass Animals continued to flourish with subsequent albums, including “How to Be a Human Being” (2016) and “Dreamland” (2020).

The song “Youth” from “How to Be a Human Being” stands out as a poignant exploration of nostalgia and the complexities of growing up, sung from the perspective of a parent to their child.
